Replaced some other drives with this single drive to get more space. I bought a WD Mybook World Edition 1TB but the WD is so slow it unreal, so i took it back and got a refund. The F1 is so much faster at 92MB/sec average read albeit with a slow ish seek at 13.6msec. It has actually speeded up my PC (a bit) using it as my system drive even with the slow seek. I would say it performs pretty much the same as some mid level SCSI drives and even beats the older raptors. Shame they lowered the price a few days after I bought it! |
