To begin, I'll tell you why I needed to buy this block...
Bought an AMD X2 5000+ Energy Efficient CPU in July... using the stock cooler it were running idle at around 55'c - 60'c, which was abit TOO hot for my liking.
So I bought another air cooler, paid £30 so not a bad quality one. Still... 55'c - 60'c, with excellent airflow in normal room temperature.
Still wanting a cooler CPU, bought the ThermalTake Bigwater 760 kit for £80... only to find I was still with a CPU idle at 55'c - 60'c... and at full load as high at 85'c!!!
Today bought this... and what a gem.
I do believe my CPU has some kind of defect to be running at such a high temperature as other people with the same or similar CPU's have theirs running on air cooling at 40'c idle or less. But this block has got my CPU temperature down to 42'c Idle... which is excellent considering the old waterblock didnt cool the processor any better than the fan solutions I had prior.
So, overall, easy to install, looks the business and did the job alot better than expected. I'm replacing my CPU shortly for a higher spec one, so hopefully, providing its defect free I should be seeing even lower temps in future with this block.
